Therapy is for everyone. People come to therapy for many different reasons but often because they are struggling with something in their life. Some people benefit from longer term therapy to examine the impact of attachment issues and trauma, others might want shorter term therapy to look at a particular problem. Either way, get in touch to see if I can be helpful to you in your exploration
I practice at the Practice Rooms on North Street in South Bristol. I also offer online sessions.
Therapy sessions last 50 minutes. We meet at the same time weekly or fortnightly. My fee is £60 for a 50 minute session. I have a few concesssionary spaces for those on lower incomes.
I do not charge for agreed absences and holidays, but I do charge for cancellation within seven days.
I review my fees annually.
The terms ‘counselling’, ‘therapy’ and ‘psychotherapy’ are often used interchangeably, and may cover wide differences in levels of qualification and experience.
As a psychotherapist, I have completed over five years' of initial formal training, plus significant further CPD and independent study. As part of my training I have worked in a voluntary placement before setting up my own practice. I have also had my own therapy for a number years, so fully aware of what it is like to come to therapy for the first time. I also see a professional supervisor regularly to discuss my work.
